I just had a really awful dream.
I lived in an apartment on the second floor. In my room I could see around me lots of art supplies like markers and oversized paper. I was sitting at my drafting table and working on a project. Peering out the window for ideas, I could see that it was night. The room was set up like an art studio. This dream was in color.
The sound of a helicopter grew close and I could feel the vibration of it shaking my window. Looking out into the dark sky the helicopter hovered down at eye level. The man flying the helicopter was extremely busy. He had headphones and glasses on. I could see all the buttons inside the helicopter--that was how close he was to the window. I hid and waited. He was looking for something, but it wasn't me. He slanted sideways and lifted away. As I was about to get out of my hiding spot, the lights from the helicopter shined through the window alerting me that he was about to return. He was looking for something in my apartment again. Unsuccessful, he finally flew away for good. I got up from my hiding spot again and looked outside. Down below going up the steps to the second floor was Marvil. The man in the helicopter just missed him.
Marvil was a madman dressed up as the Flash with a laser pistol. As he walked up the stairs to the second floor, he shot a laser through my window. I was using a headset and was on the phone with my good friend. I told her that I had to go because I felt something horrible was about to happen.
Marvil was getting closer and my judgment said to get my Little Brother and get out of there. I was my age, yet LB was probably four or five years old and in real life I think he's twenty-two. I ran to his room and opened the door and my fear disappeared. I was hiding something. Catching my breath I asked him what he was up to and saw that he was busy watching television. I urged him to come with me but he was too busy.
I then rushed to my mom's room and she too was busy. I ran to my Big Brother's room and he opened the door. I told him that Marvil was here and to hurry and get our mom and LB. Once again, I was dealing with a person who had no sense of urgency. LB was just busy watching television. My mom was just doing her own thing.
My brother, however, who wasn't busy, just kind of brushed it off like nothing was going to happen--as if this happens all the time. My feelings were quite the opposite. I tried to tell him that something bad was going to happen and that Marvil was coming. To comfort me he pulls out this metal simple machine type thing that looked like a door hanger and he stuck it under the door propped against the adjacent wall to block anyone from coming in. I looked at him and shook my head and said, "That's it? That's all you're going to do? This isn't going to do any--. . . " I heard footsteps coming down the hall. I slowly placed my ear onto the door. I could hear my mom in pain and getting thrown around. It got quiet and then BOOM! The door swung open and it slammed against my head. It was like the room shifted. I lost sight of my BB. I heard my mom screaming again and again.
I collected myself and then I saw the four fingers of my BB's left hand shut the door very quietly. I begged him to please help our mom and all he could say was, "It's too late. It's too late."
Outside I could hear my mom crying and screaming and begging for her life. I sat and listened. I felt powerless. I didn't even know where LB was. Another face showed up in the dream. It was Marvil's apprentice. The door was closed but just as I had heard of Marvil I was also aware of his apprentice. The apprentice had facial features of a Persian man. I cried and cried. I woke up and had this strange feeling of wanting to know how this dream would end. I wondered if I had lived to tell.

Miss Nelson
In my dream I was an opera singer. I was pretty darn good too. I attended this class and my teacher looked like Miss Nelson from "Miss Nelson is Missing." She had this look about her that was comical. Her hair was orange-yellow and frizzy and she had a big hairdo that was up with ribbons. Her face was powdered so much you couldn't see the old wrinkled skin she was hiding underneath. Her lips were painted red in a cupids bow and her eyes always looked like she was tired. Our lesson had just ended. I saw the students dispurse. One student had these really really short shorts with butt pads like knee pads stuffed in the butt pockets. She was very fit and had short black hair. I never saw her face as she stood next to a bar to stretch her muscles. Everything was dim with candlelight. People wore black with hints of chrome gold and ripped denim. I walked towards this couch to sit and as I did I started to practice my lesson a little and Miss Nelson heard me. She wanted me to participate in this event. I woke up.

Black Lavender
I had a dream last night, finally. I was at home and was being robbed by Black Lavender, yes Rob and Big's "Black Lavender." So yeah, I was a little scared of his size. Anyway, he had it all planned out, came to my house and started to rob me. No I didn't watch Rob and Big--I didn't--I swear--I don't subscribe to MTV. So he gave me a choice that he either take advantage of me or I give him some odd amount like $5,000. I was like, "Here--here's a check for you so you can be on your way." Weird.

Witch
No, no dreams in a while and it's totally bugging me. But I suppose I can tell you about a dream I had a long, long time ago.
A while back I had a dream that I was in a room with a witch. Yes, just like the one in the Wizard of Oz--the bad witch with the green face and the pointy hat. Well I was in the room with her and she totally challenged me. She laughed and laughed.
It turned into this weird laughing game. I tried with all my power to have the best laugh and I came up with this really icky laugh from the deep and she just kept laughing. I was determined to kick her ass but Aaron, my husband, woke me up. All concerned he said, "Are you okay?" I wanted to say "Hell no, I'm gonna beat this witch and we'll see who's laughing now!" But then I realized that I had been laughing at the top of my lungs in real life. I was sleep-laughing. Aaron went back to sleep and it was about a half hour of laughing in silence for me. I must have scared the crap out of him.
